Welcome to Western Inn of Tremonton! Nestled in Northern Utah, just east of Logan and a little more than an hour north of Salt Lake City, you’ll find us at the junctions of I-15 and I-84. Tremonton is a welcoming area which boasts a full 4 seasons of fun! We’re a quick drive from many of Northern Utah’s finest attractions!

Golden Spike Rodeo

Tremonton is the home of Utah’s oldest rodeo, Golden Spike Rodeo, located at the Box Elder County Fairgrounds. Held each year in August, Golden Spike features everything from bronc riding to mutton busting, as well as rodeo royalty and entertainment.

Golden Spike National Historical Park

We’re a short drive from Golden Spike National Historical Park, which celebrates the completion of the first Transcontinental Railroad. Here you’ll find the point at which Leland Stanford drove the 17.6-karat gold final spike joining the Central Pacific Railroad and the first Union Pacific Railroad in 1869.

Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge

Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge lies along the eastern edge of the Pacific Flyway and the western edge of the Central Flyway. This renders it an ideal area for birds from both flyways to rest, feed, and nest. 200+ species of birds use the refuge, and of those, 67 species nest there.
